There are several things to consider when evaluating a patient for gluteal fat grafting.
A patient’s dress size is sometimes helpful in predicting whether or not enough will be available.
A small framed woman with a BMI of 20 or less usually has a dress size between 0 and 2.
A medium framed patient has a BMI of between 21 and 27 with a dress size between 4 and 8.
Large framed patients normally have a BMI of 28-31 with a dress size between 10 and 14.
If the BMI is 20 or less, there will usually not be enough fat for augmentation of the buttocks.
