I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May, 2008. Following a mastectomy of my left breast and chemotherapy, I saw the doctor for a consultation for breast reconstruction. He suggested a latissimal dorsi flap procedure, which I agreed to. Although it seemed like a long recovery, I focused on the end result of the completion of my reconstruction. I completed my final surgery one week ago. I had my surgery in the Surgi-Suites. The doctor completed my reconstruction with a silicone implant on my left breast and surgery to lift and reduce my right breast. I have been so pleased with the doctor and his staff. They are all so very professional and caring. Although I was very apprehensive about my oupatient surgery, I found it to be a wonderful experience.
