Facelift
During a facelift procedure extra fatty tissue that has accumulated in the neck, frequently referred to as jowls, can be removed and muscles can be tightened. Drooping muscles in the neck form bands or cords that are repositioned to achieve a cleaner, more youthful neckline. Modern facelifts tighten the deep or muscular layer in the face and neck. The skin is also tightened but only enough to look natural. Carefully placed, well-healed incisions are barely noticeable.
Facelift surgery is designed to improved the area from the cheekbones to the collar bones. A more youthful appearance is achieved by lifting and securing drooping tissue back where it used to be.
